What is microneedling?

Microneedling (Percutaneous Collagen Induction Therapy), which is also known as collagen stimulation therapy or PCI, is a type of mechanical stimulation method to repair skin structural damage, which leads to the regeneration of damaged and changed tissue.
The purpose of this treatment is to improve the appearance and function of the skin.
During the microneedling process, many very small holes are created in the skin using very small needles.
Inserting needles into the skin increases the release of growth factors from cells, blood platelets and improves the function of growth factors. This process leads to an increase in collagen production.
In this method, the penetration of the needle into the skin should be such that subtle bleeding inside the skin occurs.
In microneedling, the epidermis is pierced but not destroyed, so the skin surface is regenerated in a short period of time, and as a result, the recovery period after the treatment will be very short.

Microneedling is an ideal antiaging treatment because its benefits include improving the appearance of:

Scars and acne symptoms

Surgical scars

Burn scars

Stretch marks

Fine lines and wrinkles (expression and smile lines, frown lines, lip wrinkles, forehead wrinkles)

Wrinkles and bags under the eyes

Skin loosening/loss of elasticity

Hair loss and non-androgenic alopecia

Hyperpigmentation

Sun damage and melasma

overall skin texture and color (smooth skin and uniform skin color)

Loose skin (eg on neck, ears, chin)

cellulite

dull skin color (skin lightening)

Advantages of microneedling treatment:

Significant improvement in appearance and beauty within a few days of the first treatment due to the exfoliation effect

Minimum damage time

No damage or permanent injury

No bruising, infection, discoloration or other side effects

Very high absorption of ingredients

Almost all skin types can be treated

Without damaging the skin, it reduces the risk of skin blemishes

Can be used for different skin types

Fast closing of established channels and low risk

Short recovery period

Increase skin thickness and freshness

Increase of growth factors, collagen, elastin

Types of microneedling based on the depth of needle penetration

Surface microneedling (for initial rejuvenation and up to a depth of 0.5 mm)

Deep microneedling (for advanced rejuvenation, scars, stretch marks… from a depth of 0.5 to a maximum of 3 mm)

The improvement is obvious
According to scientific research, creating very small channels on the skin and subsequently introducing a medicinal substance into it is a new approach in the field of skin rejuvenation. Hyaluronic acid compensates for the natural lack of body water and collagen storage. The results of this method are not immediately visible, but after several sessions of microneedling, the improvement of the treated areas is clearly visible.
